Solar Lighting Installation at Naomh Eanna GAA Club in Gorey, Co. Wexford
Project Overview: Econ Solar Solutions recently completed an extensive solar lighting installation for Naomh Eanna GAA Club in County Wexford. This project, funded through the Climate Action Control Project Grant, has provided the club with a sustainable and energy-efficient lighting solution across various facilities within the club's grounds.
Key Achievements: Walkway(Lighting)
A total of 1.2 km of walkway was illuminated with, 60W Integrated Street Light | Econ Solar Solutions installed at intervals of 17 meters per light. These lights provide a reliable and eco-friendly solution to ensure safety and visibility for players and visitors navigating the club's extensive grounds, especially during evening hours.
Club Hall, Stand, and Dressing Rooms Lighting:
In addition to the walkway, Econ Solar Solutions enhanced the lighting across key areas of the club. This included the club hall, stand, and dressing rooms. These spaces now benefit from high-quality solar-powered lights, significantly improving visibility and creating a safer, more welcoming environment for club members and visitors.
Collaboration with Naomh Eanna GAA Club:
Econ Solar Solutions worked closely with the Naomh Eanna GAA Club to design a tailored lighting plan that met the specific needs of the club. This collaborative approach allowed for optimal placement of lights in key areas, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Our team took into account factors such as foot traffic patterns, safety, and environmental impact to ensure the project met the club's requirements while also supporting its sustainability goals.
Project Goals and Benefits:
•Sustainability: The installation of solar-powered lighting is a significant step toward reducing the club's carbon footprint and reliance on traditional, non-renewable energy sources.

•Cost-Effectiveness: With the club's lighting now powered by solar energy, the long-term operational costs will be significantly reduced, freeing up funds for other development projects and club activities.
•Safety & Visibility: The new lighting enhances safety across the club grounds, ensuring clear visibility for players, staff, and visitors, especially during late hours or adverse weather conditions.
•Community Engagement: This project serves as a model for other community organistations looking to reduce their environmental impact and embrace renewable energy solutions.
Project Implementation Timeline: The project was completed in a timely manner, with installation phases coordinated to minimise disruption to the club's regular activities. Econ Solar Solutions worked efficiently to ensure that all aspects of the installation were finished within the allocated timeframe, providing Naomh Eanna GAA Club with a functional and high-quality lighting system ready for use.
Econ Solar Solutions is proud to have partnered with Naomh Eanna GAA Club on this impactful project. The installation of solar-powered lighting not only improves the club's infrastructure but also supports the broader goals of climate action and sustainability.
Through the Climate Action Control Project Grant, this collaboration has contributed to a cleaner, greener future for the club and its members.

“The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Site visit was conducted, dates agreed and work was completed with absolutely no impact on our daily club activities. Work was completed in record time with zero impact on the grounds. The lights have just slotted in like they were always there. We'd be very happy to recommend Econ to any other club or organisation looking to install solar lights.”
