Ballyduff GAA - Co.Waterford

Ballyduff Upper GAA Club commenced a community walkway around their club grounds as a result of receiving Clar Funding. This funding was for the provision of the walkway itself along with lighting. To ensure this walkway was fully completed, the club required a cost-effective and efficient lighting solution without the expense of digging trenches and inserting ducting.

On consulting Econ Solar Solutions an on-site consultation was provided, identifying a range of lights which would be suitable. Ballyduff GAA identified an integrated time control light which gradually dims as the evening goes on - https://www.econsolarsolutions.ie/product-page/60w-integrated-street-light.

The first fix was completed by setting out poles at a 20 metre distance, while also using existing ball stops to reduce the need for additional poles. Following this the second fix was completed with the track becoming available within three weeks of the initial on site consultation.

Ballyduff GAA club now have an excellent amenity for locals to walk in a safe environment each evening with no ESB bills to worry about in the future.
